Ancient and Old Izmir Tour
You will be picked up from Izmir airport / port or hotel by your tour guide. Passing Guzelyali seaside Street, you will reach Asansor/Kadifekale (Mount Pagos) for a stunning panoramic views of beautiful Izmir, Pearl of the Aegean. Then you will visit Izmir archeological museum in Varyant and see the unique works belong to the 12 Ionian cities. Following you will be taken to Izmir Clock Tower which is the symbol of Izmir and visit Konak Mosque. Then you will walk through the historical Kemeralti Bazaar, reach to Kizlaragasi Hani which was a caravansari in the Ottoman period and see Hisar Mosque.
After lunch you will visit the biggest Agora of the Asia Minor belongs to Roman period. By passing the oldest train station of Turkey in Basmane, you will reach the Museum of History Andart located in Kultur Park. This museum is derived of 3 sections; stone works, ceramic – clay works, precious works. By passing Alsancak train station and Harbor Street, you will visit the Ancient Izmir settlement called Smyrna which was established on a peninsula 5.000 years ago. You will be able to drink water from the oldest fountain which belongs to the ancient time and still active. You will see also ruins of Athena Temple and see the houses with 9 and 11 roomed houses which were probably used as palaces. You will be dropped back to your hotel, Izmir port/Airport by passing Gerdanlik seaside road.
